The St Mary police seized one 9mm pistol with a magazine containing five 9mm rounds of ammunition during an operation in Frontier, Port Maria in the parish on Wednesday, January 1.
Reports from the Port Maria Police are that at about 6:20 am lawmen were in the area when a one-bedroom concrete house was searched. During the search, the firearm was found concealed in a cloth bag that was inside a washing machine.
One man was taken in custody in relation to the seizure, however, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
