Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness is attending the 2026 International Economic Forum of Latin America and the Caribbean in Panama.
He departed the island this afternoon for the forum which began today and runs until Thursday, January 29.
In a post on X, Dr. Holness noted that as the global landscape continues to shift, it is increasingly important that Jamaica maintains a strong and active presence in international forums, where key economic, development and investment discussions are taking place.
He said Jamaica’s participation ensures that national interests are advanced and that the nation’s voice is heard on the global stage.
Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sports Olivia Grange will be in charge of the government during Prime Minister Holness’ absence.
