PM says $75M financial support for churches is for cleanup, not rebuilding

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says the financial support being offered to churches is for clean-up, not reconstruction.
The government has made an allocation of $75 million to assist churches, many of which sustained significant damage during hurrican Melissa.
The decision has been criticised by government Member of Parliament, Everald Warmington.
In a social media post, Dr. Holness says, he believes there is a grave misunderstanding about what has been offered.
He explains that in the past, provision was made for churches and discussions continue.
