Police Commissioner says the force must not be complacent despite progress

Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake says the force must not be complacent with the progress that has  been made.

The country recorded 673 murders last year.

This marked the first time the figure has fallen below 700 since 1994. 

The Commissioner says there is much work to be done.

He is also calling on members of the Jamaica Constabulary to deepen trust among themselves and the nation’s communities.  

He underscores that better service and operation result from building stronger bonds. 

The Commissioner also expresses that cops should seek to invest in their own development and character. 

Dr. Blake was speaking at the annual commissioner’s devotional exercise  this morning.
