Police identify victims of alleged armed confrontation in St. Toolis, Manchester
The 3 men fatally shot in an alleged armed confrontation with the police in St. Toolis Manchester yesterday, have been identified.
They are: 23-year-old, Byron McDonald otherwise called “Savage” a farmer of Cotterwood District, St. Elizabeth, a 17-year-old Rashed Johnson and 26-year-old Tishawn Porteous also a farmer, both of St. Toolis District.
According to the police, the men engaged them in an armed confrontation.
Reports are that at about 12:20 p.m. lawmen acting on intelligence went to a premises, to execute a search warrant.
Police say a group of men exited the building with firearms.
It is further reported that the police accosted the men, who allegedly engaged them in a shootout, and gunfire was returned.
After the shooting subsided three men were seen with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
They were pronounced dead at hospital.
A Shotgun and a Revolver were seized from the scene.
Residents protested following the fatal shooting.
