Police probing suspected drowning of 73 Y/O Portland woman

A 73-year-old Portland woman is suspected to have drowned in Bourbon District, Hope Bay, in the parish last evening.

Dead is Eunice Henry of the community.

Reports indicate that at about 9:00 p.m., officers were summoned to Henry’s residence after her body was discovered at the rear of the premises.

Upon their arrival, the police found Ms. Henry submerged face down in a blue barrel containing water. 

The body was removed to the morgue pending a postmortem.

Investigations continue.
