Sandals Resorts International has unveiled a bold new chapter in its journey with the launch of "Sandals 2.0," a vision aimed at redefining luxury travel in the Caribbean.
As part of this initiative, the regional hospitality giant has appointed four new board members, each offering extensive experience and strategic expertise to drive the company’s innovative direction.
Joining the board are Christopher Levy, President and CEO of Jamaica Broilers Group Ltd.; Peter Melhado, President and CEO of ICD Group; Nicholas Kenneth Lok Jack, Chairman and CEO of Associated Brands Industries Ltd.; and Gervase Warner, Chairman of the CARICOM Private Sector Organisation and former President and CEO of Massy Holdings.
The men are trailblazers in their respective fields. Levy has transformed Jamaica Broilers into an international powerhouse, expanding operations into the United States while maintaining the company’s agricultural roots. Melhado, a stalwart in Jamaica’s business community, brings decades of experience in finance and investments, currently steering ICD Group and chairing Sagicor Group Jamaica.
Meanwhile, Lok Jack represents the next generation of leadership at Associated Brands, a staple in the region’s snack food and manufacturing industry. Warner, a seasoned voice in Caribbean business, rounds out the group with his deep understanding of regional economic integration and development.

“For us, this isn’t just about expanding our board—it’s about aligning ourselves with leaders who share our vision for innovation and regional impact,” Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Adam Stewart said in a recent tweet. “Their expertise will be instrumental as we chart the future of luxury travel in the Caribbean.”
The company, which operates over 20 luxury resorts across the region and employs 18,000 individuals, is on an ambitious trajectory. Sandals has unveiled plans to expand its footprint with new properties in The Bahamas and Jamaica, alongside a renewed focus on community development and creating thousands of jobs.
Its most recent projects include the addition of new suite categories across its Caribbean properties, marking a strategic step in its ongoing efforts to redefine the all-inclusive travel experience. The updates include the introduction of four-bedroom butler villas, a first for the brand, as well as Skypool suites with rooftop terraces and expanded Rondoval Villa offerings.
These developments, part of the company’s broader "Sandals 2.0" initiative, aim to balance contemporary design with the unique natural and cultural features of the Caribbean.
"Big things are on the horizon," Stewart added.
