Mayor of Port Maria and Chairman of the St. Mary Municipal Corporation, Fitzroy Wilson has expressed concern about the possible impact of the cold front on farmers as they continue to recover from hurricane Melissa.
The Meteorological Service last week advised that the weather system would begin on Saturday, affecting Jamaica until early this week.
Speaking with IRIE FM News yesterday, mayor Wilson expressed that he intends to seek further clarity about the extent to which farmers are being affected
In the meantime, he reported that there has not been any major damage to infrastructure, despite the strong winds associated with the weather.
