Head of the St Elizabeth Police Division, Superintendent Coleridge Minto, remains hospitalised after a two-vehicle crash on the Jacks Gate main road in the parish on Thursday afternoon.

Minto was initially admitted to the Black River Hospital in the parish, but has since been reportedly transferred to a medical facility in the Corporate Area.

The extent of his injuries are unclear.

Reports are that sometime after 4pm, Minto was traveling in an unmarked police service vehicle on the roadway, when a Nissan pickup collided with his vehicle.

Minto and two other occupants in the service vehicle were transported to hospital. The two other individuals were treated and subsequently released.

Police sources shared that the driver of the Nissan pickup has been warned for prosecution.
