Those who’ve identified issues with ROOFS programme should report to Social Security Ministry – Charles Jr
This content originally appeared on Jamaica News.
The Government says political representatives, residents and other stakeholders who have identified issues with the Restoration of Owner or Occupant Family Shelters (ROOFS) programme, should take those problems to the Social Security Ministry.
This, as the programme is officially in its reconciliation phase.
Responding to concerns about the programme, Portfolio Minister, Pearnel Charkles JR , again admitted that there were issues as it is the first time such an initiative has been implemented.
He said through the reconciliation phase, gaps can be identified and addressed.
He also sought to address criticism that many persons have not received benefits under the programme.
