
Three people have been charged following their arrest during an operation that was conducted across several communities in St Mary on Sunday, March 16.
Charged are:
Twenty-year-old Alex Robinson of Almond Tree, Gayle in St Mary.
Forty-six-year-old Kera Sterling of Bailey’s Vale in the parish
Fifty-nine-year-old Donovan Olphinant, of Bailey’s Vale in the parish.
Robinson is charged with possession of Identity Information, while Sterling is charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
Olphinant is charged with possession of uncustomed goods.
Their court dates are being arranged.
According to reports from the St Mary police, a joint police/military operation was conducted in the communities of Bailey’s Vale, Gayle, Oracabessa and Port Maria in the parish.
During the operations, several premises were searched and several road block operations conducted.
During the operations, the three were arrested and subsequently charged following interviews conducted in the presence of their attorneys.
Also during the operations, thirty-six tickets were issued for breaches of the Road Traffic Act and six motor vehicles were seized
