Three people killed in crashes in three days including 16-year-old boy

Three people have died on the nation’s roads in the past three days, among them a 16-year-old boy.

The latest incident occurred early this morning in Manchester.

Reports are that about 12:30 A.M., a pedestrian was struck by a grey Subaru Impreza motorcar while walking along Old Green Vale road.

Police say the man who has not yet been identified, allegedly stepped into the path of the vehicle.

He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Yesterday morning in Westmoreland, 50-year-old Craig Brown of White Hall, Negril, had following a motorcycle crash.

Brown was riding his Suzuki access motorcycle along Norman Manley boulevard at about 6:20 A.M., when he lost control and collided with a median.

He was taken to hospital but later died.

Meanwhile, on Friday in St. Elizabeth, 16-year-old Sanjair Seaton lost his life in a motorcycle crash, along the Mountain Side main road in Ridge Pen.

The teen, who is of Park Lane District, Mountain Side, was riding a motorcycle with a pillion aboard at about 11:30 P.M., when he reportedly lost control, causing both occupants to fall from the bike.

They were rushed to hospital, but Seaton succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

These latest incidents bring the total number of people killed on the nation’s roads since the start of the year to 30.
