The Trelawny police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 83-year-old Arthur McNeil, a farmer of First Hill, Jackson Town, in the parish, who was found dead at his residence on Friday, January 03.

Reports are that at about 1:30 pm, a neighbour who last saw McNeil at a grave digging on Monday, December 30, 2024, went to make checks at his home.

On arrival, she noticed flies coming from a window and proceeded to contact the police and fire department.

On their arrival, the body of McNeil was found on the bed, in an advanced state of decomposition.

The body was removed to the morgue, pending a post mortem.

The investigation is ongoing.
