Two arrested following seizure of two firearms and more than 100 rounds of ammunition in St. Elizabeth yesterday

Two persons are in custody following the seizure of two firearms and more than 100 assorted rounds of ammunition during a police operation in Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, yesterday.

Reports indicate that at about 5:30 A.M., police searched a premises in the area and found a Taurus pistol and a Troy Carbine Rifle, along with 96 9 millimetre cartridges and 44 5.56 cartridges.

They were seized and the two people were arrested.

Police are continuing their investigations.
