Two motorcyclists died from injuries they sustained in a collision on the Sheffield main road in Westmoreland on Saturday night.

The deceased have been identified as 37-year-old Ricardo James of Truro district, and 24-year-old Lashawn Wilson of Hesket district, both in Westmoreland.

According to reports from the Negril police, around 8:45 pm, Wilson was driving his motorcycle along the roadway when he swerved to avoid a pothole and collided with James’ bike, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The impact threw both men from their motorcycles, causing multiple injuries.

They were rushed to the hospital, where they were both pronounced dead.
