The deceased have been identified as 52-year-old Ida Henry of Golden Spring, Kingston 9, and 29-year-old Samantha Campbell of a Mount Salem, St James address.

In the second incident, the Central police in Kingston reported that at about 10:50 am, a Honda Fit motorcar was travelling along East Queen Street in Kingston when it collided with a Toyota Probox motorcar that was travelling in the opposite direction.

Henry, who was standing on the roadway, was struck by one of the vehicles, and was crushed to death.

The police were summoned and on their arrival, they processed the scene.

The woman’s body was then removed to the morgue.

Both drivers, along with their passengers, were taken to the hospital, where they were all admitted for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Freeport police in Montego Bay, St James reported that about 3:55 am, residents stumbled upon the body of Campbell on Howard Cooke Boulevard and summoned the authorities.

On their arrival, the police saw Campbell’s body lying on the ground.
