National Awards Jamaica 2024
Over 100 Jamaicans were honoured on National Heroes Day, Monday, October 21, at the National Honours and Awards Ceremony held at the National Arena in Kingston.
Several prominent figures from entertainment, media, and sports were recognised. However, the occasion was bittersweet for Joseth Fairclough, wife of the late Constable Ricardo Fairclough. She accepted the Medal of Honour for Gallantry on his behalf, recognising his heroic efforts to save a vendor during a gun battle in St. Ann earlier this year. Sadly, he later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
