West Indies beat South Africa by 55 runs in ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup

West Indies young cricketers led by a sparkling century from opening batsman Zachary Carter and a magnificent six wicket haul Shaquan Belle handed South Africa a 55 run defeat. 

This, as the Caribbean side secured their second win at the ICC under 19 World Cup in Windhoek, Namibia.

Pace bowler Belle produced a masterclass and bagged 6 for 40 as South Africa chasing a victory target of 235 suffered a shocking batting collapse were dismissed for 179 in the 38th over with Jakeen Pollard picking up the final wicket.

Jason Rowles topscored for the young South Africans with 46 while Lethabo Phahlamohlaka was next best with 26

Earlier, Zachray Carter was on fire  as he belted 114 runs off 104 balls, colored with 8 fours and 8 sixes, as the West Indies chalked up a modest  234 runs in 47.5 overs, 

Jotnahan Van Lange supported with 29, while captain Josha Dornes weighed in with 20 and Shaquan Bell made 18. 

This against the bowling of JJ Basson with snatched an impressive 5 for 23, while Jason Rowels picked up 2 for 44.
