Scene Of Police Shooting Of Woman In Montego Bay On Christmas Day

A woman was shot and killed by a policeman as she reportedly attacked another female with a knife near the Montego Bay Shoe Market in St James on Christmas morning.

Preliminary reports are that the now deceased woman brandished a knife and was attacking another woman when she was shot by the policeman who intervened.

The injured woman died on the scene.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has started a probe into the fatal shooting.

INDECOM is also probing the shooting death of three men who reportedly engaged the police in a firefight in St James on Tuesday morning.
