Christmas Memories: Senator Gabriela Morris
Senator Gabriela Morris may be the youngest member of Jamaica’s Senate, but her love for local traditions runs deep—especially when it comes to making hot cocoa tea from scratch!
For Morris, Christmas mornings were made special by her beloved grandmother, who would expertly grate cocoa balls into a fine powder, blending it with spices to create the rich, comforting drink Jamaicans know as cocoa tea. This cherished tradition remains a symbol of love and togetherness for the young politician, evoking fond memories of her late grandmother.
This year, Morris is creating new traditions with her "new family," as she spends Christmas away from her original home in western Jamaica.
And with that, we wrap up our Christmas Countdown: Favourite Christmas Memory series.
Merry Christmas!
