Minister of Education and Youth, Dr. Dana Morris Dixon says there is a need for a more robust child protection system.
Speaking at the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA’s) 14th annual Educational Achievement Awards yesterday, Dr. Morris Dixon noted that a lot of children are in harm’s way at home, in their communities and everywhere that they go.
She called for stronger child protection measures in Jamaica, urging systemic reform and public vigilance against abuse and neglect.
Dr. Morris Dixon stressed that confronting uncomfortable truths is essential to achieving meaningful progress.
