Cops speak about operation that led to fatal shooting of wanted man

The police have posted on their social media page with more details about the operation that led to the fatal shooting of a man who was on the country's most wanted list.

Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Area 5, Christopher Phillips, confirmed on Thursday that a man named Kenrick Campbell, also known as Wormy and aged 32, was shot and killed in Villa Palm in Spanish Town, St Catherine during a reported shootout with the police.

Campbell was suspected to have been involved in the Cherry Tree Lane massacre in Four Paths, Clarendon earlier this year.

According to Phillips, Campbell was a high-priority target for his suspected involvement in the brutal Cherry Tree Lane massacre that claimed the lives of eight innocent people, including a child.
