International Relations Expert Irwin Clare says he is not heavily perturbed by the recent statements by United States Congressman Carlos Gimenez.
Mr. Gimenez said Jamaica will face the consequences following remarks made by Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness about US and Cuba relations.
Dr. Holness was speaking at the 50th Regular Meeting of Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM, in St. Kitts & Nevis on Tuesday.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also attended the CARICOM meeting.
Speaking with Irie FM News Mr. Clare noted that considering that Secretary Rubio did not pass any remarks he is not worried about the pronouncements made by Gimenez.
In the Meantime, Mr. Clare said he believes Prime Minister Holness’ speech was diplomatic.
