Deputy Auditor General Marlon McAdam is reporting an increase in the number of outstanding financial statements to be submitted by Municipal Corporations (MCs).
Mr. McAdam, who was speaking on the Auditor General’s 2025 Annual Report, said 95 financial statements were outstanding.
This is an increase from the 86 reported last year.
Mr. McAdam lamented that no significant progress is being made regarding the preparation and submission of the statements.
He attributed the delay to factors including the lack of a financial management system.
