The Office of Utility Regulations (OUR) says national efforts alone are not enough to ensure digital resilience.
OUR’s Director General, Ansord Hewitt, notes that measures must also go beyond State borders within the region.
He stressed that the impacts felt by one Caribbean nation may also be felt in others.
Mr. Hewitt said shared intelligence and infrastructure are among several steps that should be taken to strengthen the region.
Mr. Hewitt also noted that resilience cannot rely on crisis response.
He added that resilience requires a mature balance between competition and collaboration.
