Three students have been taken into custody in relation to the stabbing death of a Seaforth High student in Morant Bay, St. Thomas yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Kayland Doyle of Bath, St. Thomas.

Lawmen say the incident occurred at the transport centre.

Police say it stemmed from an altercation which started at school.

Reports are that the accused used a sharp object to inflict a wound to the other student.

The wounded pupil was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In the meantime, personnel from the Ministry of Education will be visiting the school today to offer counselling and support.
