JTA awaiting written communication from Finance Ministry following progressive talks today

The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) says its awaiting written communication from the Finance Ministry on graduate allowance, following progress on that issue during talks with the Ministry today.
JTA President Mark Malabver gave the update.
The matter has been a long-standing issue for teachers, contributing to growing unrest within the sector.
Its one of two key issues the JTA is seeking to resolve.
Mr. Malabver said both parties agreed to continue negotiation this Friday.
He is urging teachers to remain on high alert and await further updates from the JTA.
