The Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA) says its awaiting written communication from the Finance Ministry on graduate allowance, following progress on that issue during talks with the Ministry today.

JTA President Mark Malabver gave the update.

The matter has been a long-standing issue for teachers, contributing to growing unrest within the sector.
