The Jamaica Police Federation will have to wait a week to hear the Finance Ministry’s response to outstanding wage issues.
The two parties met yesterday to continue wage talks for members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
In a statement, the ministry noted that while the meeting was substantive and productive, the parties have agreed that further engagement is necessary to work through the outstanding issues in a thorough and responsible manner.
The ministry committed to analysing the substantial work of the JCF as embodied in the technical framework agreement.
It said it will provide a response to the federation on June 17.
