The government is spending $310m on the redesigning and rebuilding of the St. Elizabeth Technical High School.
The announcement was made by Education minister Dr. Dana Morris Dixon during the school’s graduation ceremony.
The school was among several in western Jamaica that were damaged by Hurricane Melissa last October.
Dr. Morris Dixon said the government is rebuilding the school, keeping in mind that the new structure must be able to withstand the impact of strong winds.
