INDECOM said on July 21, Williams was arrested after he was observed attempting to board a flight at the Norman Manley International Airport.
Williams appeared before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court on July 23 where he was remanded in custody until today’s court appearance at the Home Circuit Court.
According to INDECOM, the police alleged that Miller was fatally shot during their pursuit of robbers in a black motor car.
However, eyewitnesses refuted the police claims of Mr. Miller’s involvement.
Constables Stewart and Francis were each granted $500,000 bail with sureties and reporting conditions.
While Williams was remanded in custody.
The next court date is scheduled for tomorrow.
Since January 2024, 68 law enforcement officers have been charged in relation to incidents investigated by INDECOM.
This includes 13 police officers and one correctional officer who were charged this year.
