Gov’t will accord official memorial service to late former Cabinet Minister and MP Dean Peart; Family hosts funeral today

The Government will accord an official memorial service to the late former Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament, Dean Peart.

The Office of the Prime Minister said Mr. Peart served the nation with distinction over several decades as a Member of Parliament for North Western Manchester, Mayor of Mandeville and Cabinet Minister with responsibility for portfolios including labour, local government, and environment and lands.

The Peart family will host a funeral service today at the Kendal Conference Centre in Manchester, starting at 11:00 A.M.

Details regarding the Government’s official memorial service will be announced at a later date.
