Five people have been hospitalised following exposure to chlorine gas in Callaloo Mews, St. Andrew late last night.
The incident occurred while a cylinder was being cut for scrap.
Commanding officer for the St. Andrew South Police Division, Senior Superintendent Damion Manderson says those affected complained of discomfort after inhaling fumes from the cylinder.
He says, one of the individuals was examined and released.
