Principal Director of the Meteorological Service Evan Thompson says Jamaicans need not panic amid reports of severe weather impacts due to El Niño .
The United Nations World Meteorological Organization (WMO) gave an update on the phenomenon today.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, Mr. Thompson says the WMO’s projection aligns with Jamaica’s met service forecasts issued in April.
Thompson says Jamaicans should focus on preparation.
