Member of Parliament for Central Westmoreland, Dwayne Vaz, is calling on the Government to fast track plans to assist residents who are sheltering at the Petersfield High School in the parish.
Several residents have been staying at the institution since Hurricane Melissa destroyed or damaged their homes.
Earlier this month, the residents were told that they have until today to leave the facility as the institution begins clean-up ahead of the new school term in January.
Local Government Minister, Desmond Mckenzie told residents during a visit to the shelter on December 3 that a number of temporary options will be used to assist them.
Mr. Vaz said there are 86 residents at the facility, and most of them do not have anywhere to go.
