The Embassy of Jamaica in Washington, D.C., in the United States has bid a grateful farewell to Major General Antony Anderson, who demitted office as Jamaica’s Ambassador to the U.S.

Ambassador Anderson has also stepped down from his position as Permanent Representative to the Organisation of American States.

He demitted the posts after being appointed Chief Executive Officer of the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA) in Jamaica.

In a statement, the Embassy noted that during his tenure, Ambassador Anderson distinguished himself through his leadership, engagement with the Jamaican Diaspora, collaboration with bilateral partners, and steadfast representation of Jamaica’s interests.

It said that, though the posting was brief, Ambassador Anderson’s contributions left a meaningful and lasting impact on the Embassy, its partners, and the wider Jamaican community across the U.S.

The Embassy thanked Ambassador Anderson for his service and commitment to strengthening the bonds between Jamaica and its diaspora.
