FOREIGN NATIONAL DIES AFTER VEHICLE PLUNGES INTO RIVER IN ST MARY – IRIE Fm

A woman from Trinidad and Tobago died after the vehicle she was travelling in plunged into a river in St. Mary, and then she was swept away by a strong current.
Police have identified her as 31-year-old Shirnell Ettienne.
The Annotto Bay Police report that the crash occurred along the Agualta Vale main road at about 10:30 am yesterday.
She was one of four people travelling in a dark green Toyota Corolla motorcar.
On reaching the vicinity of Wag Water Bridge, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which went into the river.
Three people escaped from the vehicle.
