The Government is seeking to finalise the regulations of the Agriculture Produce Act (APA) this year.
That is according to Portfolio Minister, Floyd Green.
Mr. Green said commercial quantities will be defined in the second and third schedules of the Act, to allow lawmen to identify whether or not an individual is transporting the stated quantities.
He noted that several other acts, including the Praedial Larceny Prevention and Trespass Acts have been amended to ensure that when persons are brought before the court, they receive more meaningful sentences.
Mr. Green was speaking at the one year anniversary for the Agriculture Protection Branch.
