Manchester’s new police commander pledges to review case of missing student Jayden Smith
The new Commanding Officer for the Manchester Police, Deputy Superintendent Odean Dennis, has pledged to review the case of missing student Jayden Smith.
12-year-old Jayden, who was enrolled at Manchester High School, reportedly went missing after leaving the institution on September 26, last year.
The situation has sparked widespread public discourse, intense speculation, and protests calling on the authorities to solve the case urgently.
Speaking with reporters yesterday, DSP Dennis noted that Jayden’s case is among his priority areas, and a fresh approach will be taken to solving it.
DSP Dennis, who was transferred from the Portland Police Division, has taken over from Superintendent Carey Duncan.
Superintendent Duncan has been transferred to the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch.
