GraceKennedy (GK) Foods has announced a voluntary recall of specific batches of its Grace Tropical Rhythms Fruit Punch 1affects products sold in Barbados, Saint Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Turks and Caicos islands, as well as St. Maarten.
The affected product bears best-before codes of July 21 and July 22, 2027.
The company says the recall is related to a product-quality issue and not a food-safety concern.
It also notes that no illness or adverse health effect has been reported and that no health effect is expected from consuming the affected product.
GK Foods is asking consumers with the affected batches not to consume the product, and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement.
The company says it is working with distributors and retailers to remove the affected products from the market and has apologised for the inconvenience. litre product in seven Caribbean markets including in Jamaica.
