JPS says loss of gas supply to South Jamaica Power Company generating units caused some customers to lose electricity this morning

The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) says some of its customers lost electricity this morning due to the loss of gas supply to the South Jamaica Power Company generating units.

JPS said the power supply was restored to most customers within half an hour.

It said all customers affected by this morning’s outage have now been restored.

This morning’s outage follows an islandwide blackout Friday night.
