President-elect of the Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA) Dr. Maureen Mullings-Nelson and her colleague have been transferred to the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI) in Kingston to continue treatment, following yesterday’s motor vehicle crash in Duncans, Trelawny.
The collision occurred around 3:40 P.M. along Carey main road and involved two Honda vehicles; one driven by a police officer and the other by a teacher.
Dr. Mullings-Nelson was a passenger in the teacher’s vehicle.
All three injured persons were rushed to the Falmouth Hospital.
In a update today, the JTA said Dr. Mullings-Nelson and the teacher are in stable condition.
The condition of the police officer remains unknown.
