Sleuths from the Manchester Police Division have charged 43-year-old taxi operator Dwayne McDonald of Richmond district, Manchester with burglary following an incident in New Hall district in the parish on Thursday, September 26.

Reports from the police are that two sisters who reside at the same house were away from the dwelling and about 12:40 am, they were alerted to a video message from a camera they had installed at the residence.

The video footage reportedly captured McDonald entering the dwelling house through a French window at the side.

The police were alerted and it was discovered that $150,000 was missing from a bag belonging to one of the sisters.

McDonald was subsequently apprehended, and on Saturday, October 5 he was charged after a question-and-answer session was held in the presence of his attorney.

A court date for him is being finalised.
