The police have stepped up their search for a group of robbers carrying out a series of illegal acts in and around the Denham Town, Kingston  area.

In the most recent incident, a man was at a bus stop when he was reportedly attacked and robbed of his cellular phone and other valuables.

Reports are that about 3pm, on July 4, the man was held up by three men — one of whom had a gun.

“They proceeded to rob the male victim of his cellular phone and cash and then escaped in the area,” the police said in a release.

The victim made a report to the police and a man identified as Barridon Campbell was arrested on Monday, July 8.

Following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney, Campbell was charged. His court date has not yet been finalised, the police said.

The other robbers are currently being sought by the police.
