PM Dr. Andrew Holness says Jamaica is considered a safe near-shore destination

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has noted that Jamaica being booked for large meetings is the result of efforts to reduce crime and violence.
That in addition to having the infrastructure and facilities to host major events such as international conferences and seminars.
Speaking today at the signing ceremony for the Kingston Harbour Walk Project, Dr. Holness explained that Jamaica is considered to be a safe near-shore destination.
Dr. Holness said, while it’s good that the murder rate has been cut in half, the target is for 15 per 100,000.
