Education Minister Dr. Dana Morris Dixon has announced that on average all public schools will be receiving 55% more funding from the Ministry.
Dr. Morris Dixon was speaking at this morning’s post Cabinet press briefing held at Jamaica House.
She stated that, as promised, the Ministry is placing emphasis on students at the lower levels of the system.
The Education Minister said all the existing grants were consolidated, in addition to an overall increase.
Meanwhile, she gave a breakdown as to how the schools are expected to allocate the funds.
