Police ramp up presence in Red Bank, St. Elizabeth following murder of woman

Police have ramped up their presence in Red Bank, St. Elizabeth following a murder and robbery in the community, Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old nail technician Nicole Facey, also called Nicky of Red Bank.
Police say at about 10:50 pm, Ms. Facey was making her way home from her business place when gunmen in a vehicle demanded her handbag.
When their demands were not met , one of the men exited the vehicle and grabbed the bag.
A struggle ensued and Facey was shot.
She died at hospital.
Head of the St. Elizabeth Police, Superintendent Coleridge Minto has assured that those responsible will be brought to justice.
He said the police will be maintaining their presence in the area.
