Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) operators are encouraged to avoid reckless driving during the Easter weekend and to uphold the sector’s goal of zero road deaths in 2026.
Chairman of the Kingston Metropolitan Transport Operators’ Alliance, Loraine Finnikin, told IRIE FM News that no PPV operator has died since January, and he hopes this trend will continue.
Noting that operators will be traversing in and out of the Metropolitan region during the holiday period, Mr. Finnikin called for them to prioritise their safety and the well-being of their passengers.
