St. Ann’s Bay Health and Fitness Club marks 4 years; 27 members also celebrated

Twenty-seven (27) members of the St. Ann’s Bay Health and Fitness Club in St. Ann who had birthdays recently, were celebrated yesterday.
The club consists of 90 residents attending the St. Ann’s Bay Health Centre for care with conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
Members also benefit from exercises, eye examinations, foot care; dental services and nutritional therapy among other things.
In addition to health support, birthday celebrations are held for members every 6 months.
Yesterday’s event saw the celebration of members who had birthdays from July to December 2025 as well as the commemoration of the club’s fourth anniversary .
Speaking with Irie Fm News during the event held at the St. Ann’s Bay Anglican Church Hall, Medical Officer of Health for the parish, Dr. Tamika Henry said the fitness group plays an important role in staving off non-communicable diseases.
She pointed out that members are already seeing improvements in their health.
Dr. Henry said other persons are welcomed to join the club.
