Taxi operator killed by gunmen in Nain, St. Elizabeth; one of the alleged attackers wounded by police

A taxi operator was shot dead by two gunmen posing as passengers in Nain, St. Elizabeth, yesterday.

Police who were in the area responded and one of the alleged attackers was shot and wounded during a confrontation.

The identity of the deceased operator has not been released.

Police have launched a manhunt for the other alleged attacker.

Head of the Division, Superintendent Coleridge Minto said the incident took place at about 5 p.m.
