The Third Country National agreement between Jamaica and the United States was a topic of contention in yesterday’s sitting of the Upper House.
While commenting on the Civil Aviation Amendment Bill, Opposition Senator Lambert Brown expressed his discontent with the TCN arrangement.
Senator Brown argued that it was favouring foreign nationals over Jamaican citizens, especially those still reeling from Hurricane Melissa.
His comments were interrupted as Senate President Tom Tavares Finson turned off his microphone, citing a breach of the Standing Orders.
